Method

  1. In a jar or airtight container, combine the rolled oats, milk, plain yogurt, honey or maple syrup, chia seeds, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir everything together thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in most of the mixed berries, reserving a small handful for topping.
  4. Cover the container tightly and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the oats to soften and thicken.
  5. In the morning, stir the overnight oats. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk to reach your desired consistency. Top with the reserved berries and any optional nuts or seeds before serving.
