Ingredients

Method

  1. In a jar or airtight container, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek-style yogurt (if using), chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, and grated fresh ginger (if using).
  2. Stir everything together thoroughly to ensure the chia seeds are well distributed and there are no clumps of oats.
  3. Gently fold in most of the mixed berries, reserving a small handful for topping.
  4. Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, allowing the oats and chia seeds to absorb the liquid and thicken.
  5. In the morning, give the mixture a good stir. If it's too thick, add a splash more milk to reach your desired consistency.
  6. Spoon the overnight oats into a serving bowl or glass.
  7. Top with the reserved fresh berries and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds. Add a drizzle of honey or granola if desired.
