Ingredients
- Broccoli 1 x large head (approx. 500g)
- Garlic cloves 3
- Olive oil 3 tbsp (45ml)
- Lemon zest from 1/2 lemon
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper 1/4 tsp
Method
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan/Gas Mark 6).
- Wash the broccoli and cut it into bite-sized florets. Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.
- In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper.
- Toss everything together thoroughly to ensure the broccoli is evenly coated.
- Spread the seasoned broccoli in a single layer on a large baking tray.
- Roast for 15-20 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender and slightly charred at the edges.
- Serve immediately as a delicious side dish.
