  2. Trim the tough ends off the green beans.
  3. Thinly slice the garlic cloves.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the green beans with the olive oil, sliced garlic, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  5. Spread the beans in a single layer on a baking tray.
  6. Roast for 15-20 minutes, or until tender-crisp and slightly charred in places.
