Ingredients

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix together the grated ginger, minced garlic, chilli flakes, soy sauce, and honey. Add the sliced beef, toss to coat, and let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over a medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan, along with any excess marinade. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring, until the beef is browned.
  4. Pour in the chopped tomatoes and stir everything together.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly and the beef is cooked through.
  6. Season to taste if needed, then serve immediately over cooked rice or noodles.
  7. Garnish with sliced spring onions and toasted sesame seeds, if using.
